  3 Emphasis Pictures 3 Pattern Pictures The first 3 photos are in the emphasis category and the other 3 are patterns. Firstly, there is a trashcan which shows emphasis since there is nothing around it and it is the center of attention. The second picture is of a bush which is in an area filled with other bushes, however this one is the only one with a radius in which other bushes are not next to it making it stand out in comparison to the other bushes. The next photo is the light pole with a banner attached to it. This shows emphasis since there is a vibrant orange color from the banner which separates it from its surrounding. The first pattern image is one of a bench in the courtyard which shows a repeating diamond shape pattern throughout the image. The second pattern image is the brick layering on the ground which just shows the classic brick pattern that is seen everywhere.  Element of  C O L O R  The first picture was taken from a hotel room showcasing the sunset in downtown Toronto. The element of color is shown in the blue and pick hues of the sky where the sun sets. The next picture was taken on the beaches of Oahu at night and shows a rainbow of colors across the shoreline. The third picture was taken in the courtyard by the stage where there is a mural going across the side of the wall. The various colors can be seen through separate tiles that have one color on each. The fourth picture was taken from a plane that was about to land in Maui and shows a vibrant green from the land and golf course in contrast with the darker blue from the ocean.  The last picture was taken from a bush at the front of campus and shows colors from a range of yellow to orange on the flower.
